Hydrothermia , which is the medical term given to the science that, deals with the medical study of effects of heat and cold on the human body. Tiny capillaries of our skin are called as "second heart".
The use of Hydrothermia on the human skin increases the blood circulation in the body by pumping the blood in and out of the tissues by stimulating the elasticity of the blood vessels.
Hyperthermia , which is a medical term for hot water bath, will draw blood from all other parts of the body and also from the body core and will insert into the skin and muscle, all because of the reflex dilation effect.
Hot water showers or baths may feel like a good thing but your skin may object on this mind theory. Also chlorine in tap water is an oxidative agent, which helps in killing the bacteria present in water, and excessive chlorine in the water may effect your skin.
The hotter the water, greater is the chance of damage being done as the rate of chemical reactions increases with temperature i.e. the molecules scatter at very high speed when the temperature rises.
Hence it is advisable to take bath with water that is warm and not hot and also you should not soak your body for too long in water.
